Happy Father's Day!

We celebrated Father's Day a weekend late since John and I were traveling home last Sunday.  John received two presents.  One was a hedge trimmer...exciting I know.  The other present was a day to himself to garden and plant some new plants.  This Saturday I went to Kingwood to give him his day to spend in the yard.  That night I cooked him his favorite, fettuccine alfredo with chicken, from scratch!  Today he spent a little more time in the yard then the four of us went downtown and enjoyed a Father's Day lunch at one of our favorite Greek restaurants, Yia Yia Mary's.  The babies were so good too!  It was a really fun weekend and I hope he enjoyed his first Father's Day celebration!  John, I can never thank you enough for all that you do to keep this family going.  We love you so much!

Twinneymoon

John and I had the privilege to escape for a few days and enjoy some much needed time together.  Our adventure took us to Savannah, Georgia.  Surprisingly I was not sad or worried when we left the house.  I was actually excited and relaxed.  John's parents and sister kept the babies at our house while we were gone so I knew they were in very good hands.  John and I enjoyed the beach, golfing, city tours, sleeping in, eating out, and our time together.  Savannah is a beautiful city rich with American history.  One of the fun things about the city is that it is considered one of the most haunted in the country.  John and I enjoyed a "haunted pub crawl" where we visited five haunted pubs.  We heard great stories of the buildings and enjoyed the tour through the city.  Even though we didn't encounter any ghosts it was a fun experience.  We were both anxious to get home and see the twins.  Of course our flight was delayed and we had to take a longer route to avoid some bad weather...all on father's day.  We practically ran into the house and were greeted by big smiles from the babies.  We really couldn't put them down.  It was such a great trip and we can't wait until the babies are old enough to travel with us!

Happy Seven Months!

The twins are seven months old today and are cuter then ever.  When each month rolls around John and I look at each other and say, "Already!  I can't believe how fast this is going."  We are blessed by these two little ones every day.  I've said it before and I am sure I will say it again...I feel privileged to watch these two little people grow.

My Boys

I walked into the family room to find John and George looking at the birds in the backyard.

Fun weekend!

Clara is sitting up and playing for long periods of time now. She is also starting to figure out how to lay down or lean over without falling. It seems she sees the world in a different light.

Hanging out with Mom

George is also sitting up on his own but for only a few seconds at a time.  It will only be a matter of time before he is sitting up and playing too.

Yay George!

We recently bought the twins a Jeep walker and they love it.  They haven't figured out how to actually walk in it yet.  Clara loves to jump so much she thinks it is another jumper.  Too funny!

We had a great Memorial Day weekend.  We spent a few days at my parent's house.  They hosted a BBQ for a bunch of our very good friends.  John cooked a yummy brisket and we went swimming.  We had an impromptu wine tasting after the kiddos went to bed which was fun.  John was even able to play golf on Monday.

Georgie loves swimming now.  He splashed the whole time and even dunked his face.  It was hilarious.

Georgie loved swimming around the pool with Grandpa.

Clara is still a little unsure about the pool but had fun with Grammy in her float.

George was completely tuckered out after swimming.  Such a cutie!

Georgie loved playing with his Godmother Ashley.  I love you Aunt Ashley!

And the best part of the weekend...the afternoon after the BBQ our good friends Mark and Sarah welcomed their baby girl Addison into the world.  I can't wait to meet her!
