Clara figured out how to pull up all by herself and tries to do it constantly. It is amazing that it seems she does something new every day. Nine months is such a fun age!

First Haircut!!!
George and Clara had their first haircuts this weekend. We tried to wait until they were a year old but George's hair was out of control and needed to be cut. They were both SO good. Neither of them made a peep and she even used clippers on George. I couldn't believe the difference when she was finished with George's hair. He looks like a little boy now! She didn't take off much of Clara's hair so you can't really tell a difference. She did put her hair in a cute pony with an adorable little bow. I was so proud of them! I can't believe how quickly they are growing up!

Pancakes!
We started giving Clara pancakes for breakfast and that little girl loves it! She eats one and a half pancakes all by herself and just shovels it in. Most of the time she is saying mmmmmm or nuuuuuum while she eats. It cracks me up! George has a sensitive gag reflex so the fingers foods aren't going so well...except for pancakes! He loves them too and eats it all up. It makes me think he is a big faker when it comes to the other foods. He must be avoiding vegetables...just like his Dad.
I LOVE PANCAKES!
Yum Yum Yum
Good Morning Mom...
You want some pancakes?

First Finger Foods
Clara had her first finger food dinner. She had veggie pasta, chicken pieces, and banana. She seemed to enjoy feeding herself and ate it all up. Such a big girl! I was one proud Momma last night!
Looks delicious...I know.

George vs Bailey
George thinks it is hilarious when we try to make him ride on Bailey's back. She doesn't cooperate so the video is a little crazy but you still have to love that laugh!!

Swim Playdate
My cousin Tarala and her daughter Sydney and my good friend Sarah and her daughter Addison met us at my parent's house for a swim playdate. It was so fun to have all the babies together and they all really enjoyed the pool. A big thanks to Mom and Dad who let us take over their house and provided a yummy lunch.

First Family Vacay
John and I ventured to Dallas with the twins this past weekend to visit friends. The weekend started off rough. When we arrived at our good friends Josh and Amanda's house after a three hour drive, resulting in a three hour nap, the babies were ready to party when Mom and Dad were ready to sleep. George went to sleep after an hour of playing but Clara did not sleep almost all night long. John and I had two hours of sleep on Friday night which was pretty rough. We woke up to spend time with Josh and Amanda and their adorable little 16 month old son Brady. It was a treat to spend so much time with him and his parents. Brady called the twins "my babies" all weekend long. He frequently got Josh and John mixed up calling John Daddy on numerous occasions...so cute!
It was so funny to see John and Josh in the role of Dad. We had a lot of fun together in college and I sat there and said, "Who would have thought I would ever see this!?!"
We were able to meet the newest addition to our group of friends, Kellis. Our good friends Scott and Amanda welcomed this little, or should I say big, guy at the end of June. He is so cute and it was wonderful to see the Harkness family!

We were also able to spend time with my good friend Lea and her daughter Stella. I loved being called "Auntie Megs" by little Miss Stella. We enjoyed some time playing with the kids and shopping together.

George and Clara also had their first experience with an outside swing and LOVED it! I wish we had old trees in our yard so we could have one of these swings. It was so fun to hear them giggle while swinging.
Happy Georgie

On Saturday night Josh's mom babysat Brady and the twins so we could go out to a nice dinner. We went to this yummy restuarant called Eddie V's with Josh, Amanda, and Lea. We really enjoyed our night out!

On Sunday morning we took the twins to our alma mater SMU. It was great to walk the campus, go on the football field, and relive some very good times. George and Clara will have to be much much older before they hear those stories. :)

That afternoon I had a play date with some of my Delta Gamma Sorority sisters and their kiddos. It was so fun to see everyone and meet the babies. Thanks to Rachael, who is also a mother of twins (Carter and Nolan below) for hosting!

On the way home we had to stop to feed and change the twins. We decided to let George drive us the rest of the way home. :)

We had such a great weekend with all of our friends! Thanks to Josh, Amanda, and Brady for allowing us to invade your house. Thanks to Lea for helping me with the twins. Thanks to Rachael for the fun play date. Hope to do it again soon! Love you Dallas friends!
