Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter celebrating with our family.  We woke up to find awesome goodies for the kiddos.

I attended church with my Mom in the morning.  My children boycotted so I enjoyed my time reflecting about the meaning of the day with my Mom.  After church we went to my parents' house for brunch and some Easter goodies.

After some much needed rest, we got ready and went to the Hadjioannou's house for Easter dinner.

We had a delicious dinner made by Bianca and finished the evening off with our annual egg game.  Epper time!

I won! I haven't been the Epper Queen in YEARS.  Wahoo!

We had a wonderful Easter with our families.  We missed my brother who always has to work on  holidays because there is always someone to cook for.  We hope that everyone had a fantastic day celebrating with their families.  Happy hoppy Easter!

Easter Eve Fun!

We had a very busy wonderful Easter weekend.  It started with the kiddos, Grandma Wanno, and John going to Breakfast with the Bunny.  Jack was sick so I stayed home with him.  They had a great breakfast, time with the Easter Bunny, and an egg hunt.

Later that afternoon we dyed Easter eggs for our annual egg game, Epper.

That night we got ready for the bunny to visit our house by putting out our Easter baskets!

Dear Jack,

If someone were to ask me how I would describe you at one year old, I would without doubt say sweet.  I would also say social, adorable, smiley, loving, and giggly.  I might also throw in determined, observant, and smart.

You are all of those things little guy.  You've been a very happy baby since the start.  Most days of your first year you were a smiling, content little man.  We often heard you laugh out loud.  Many of my favorite memories include you snuggled up with your head nestled into my neck.  I cherish those little moments with my littlest guy.

Jack you adore watching and playing with your older brother and sister.  You are awesome at imitating their play.  This skill is amazing to watch develop.  You've mastered kicking balls, sword fighting, and tackling (thank you George).  You also mastered being sweet to dolls, making your first crayon marks, and dancing (thank you Clara).  Jack you love to play alone too.  Your favorite toy is the big red car you can sit in.  You often bring books into your car, shut the door, and babble through the pages.  Reading is definitely one of your favorite activities.  And just like your brother and sister, you love to be outside.  On your rare fussy days, I always knew if I stepped outside with you your attitude would completely change.  Running in the grass, climbing the swing set ladder, and playing with balls are some of your favorite things to do!

At one year old you have four teeth to chomp all of your yummy food with.  You say words like Momma, Dada, Bye, Go, Book and More.  You seem to say George and Clara at times.  You've become very chatty and babble more each day.  You follow one step directions like "Go get your shoes." You point and lead me to things when you want something.  You sign the word "finished" when you've had enough of just about anything, including being awake.  You wave to everyone. You walk around like you've been doing it for years and are getting the hang of running.  You dance like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever...finger in the air!  You adore both of your Pop-Pops and tend to prefer them over anyone else in the room.

These are all things that make you special.  Make you Jack. And they make us love you so very much little guy.  The day you were born was one of the very best days of my life.  Your Dad and I fell in love with you the second we laid eyes on you.  You are a blessing.  A beautiful God given miracle.  Thank you for completing our family.  Thank you for all of your smiles and cuddles.  Your first year was a joy and I can't wait to witness the rest of your journey little man.  We love you!

Little Man Mustache Bash

We celebrated Jack's first birthday Little Man Mustache style.  There were mustaches and bow ties everywhere!

We enjoyed celebrating Mr. Jack with our family and closest friends.

The kiddos had fun bashing a mustache pinata.  George took his job of breaking the pinata VERY seriously.

And then there was the cake!!!

We had an awesome time celebrating your first year sweet Jack!  Happy happy first birthday.  We love you!
