Shopping for Baby Furniture

John and I went shopping for baby furniture this weekend. It was so much fun! We immediately agreed on what we liked. There are two furniture sets in the running so we still haven't made a final decision. Hopefully soon! We also picked out our stroller and car seats. It was a very productive day!

Father's Day Celebration

We celebrated Father's Day at my parent's house in Kingwood. We spent the afternoon in the pool. Our dog Bailey was a very happy camper. She loves the water! John's parents joined us for a fantastic dinner. John got his first Father's Day gift...a rain gauge. If you know John, then you know he loves to track weather. Now he can track all the rain we AREN'T getting right now! It was a fun day.

Doctor's appointment

I had my monthly doctor's appointment this morning. I am fourteen and a half weeks pregnant and the doctor is really pleased with my progress. I heard those little heartbeats again, which makes my heart just soar every time. I've gained three pounds so far which I know is just the beginning of my growing belly! Our big ultrasound is scheduled for July 29th. I can't wait to find out if we have girls, boys, or both!

Trip to Dallas

John went on a business trip to Dallas for a few days so I tagged along. I was able to spend lots of time with my very good friend Lea and her daughter Stella. I got a true taste of mommy-hood. I joined them on a play date and went to a Little Gym class. It was really fun! Before leaving Dallas we stopped at SMU to get a few onesies for the twins. Go Mustangs!

One Down Two to Go!

Today I am officially out of my first trimester! These little beans are 13 weeks. I suddenly find myself slightly obsessed with baby details. Thank goodness I have supportive mommy friends who answer all my questions and a husband who isn't tired of my constant chatter...yet. I know I will enjoy the next few months off from work to plan plan plan! Here is where Baby A and B are in their development:

Fingerprints have formed on your baby's fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. Your baby is almost 3 inches long and weighs nearly an ounce.

12 Week Ultrasound

What a great day! John and I loved seeing our little ones. It's been six weeks so they've grown so much. They actually look like babies now. They were both moving around and kicking. It was surreal. Both heart rates were strong and the babies are measuring on target. We will see in 8 weeks what we are having! I can't wait!

I woke up on Saturday and there it was...my little baby bump. I finally look kind of pregnant and it's really exciting. I can't wait to watch this belly grow. Our next ultrasound is tomorrow! I will post pictures.
