I had to post this pic of our puppy Bailey. She is such a sweet girl and I know she will be great with the babies. She already nuzzles my growing tummy. What a sweetheart!

Finally!
Two nights ago I was in bed reading and one of the babies really started kicking. I could actually see my t-shirt move. It was crazy. So last night John sat with his hand on my belly and felt one of the babies kick. He said it was just a faint tap on his hand but he could definitely feel it. I am so glad he can finally begin to enjoy the kicks and punches along with me. It is wonderful to experience the growth of these babies together!

Monthly Doctor's Visit
I went to the doctor today and as I expected I gained quite a bit of weight this month! At 22 weeks my tummy has definitely popped with some people telling me I look 7 months preggo! I've gained 14 pounds total and am still feeling great. Both heartbeats were strong and the babies are most active in the afternoon. Our little girl still kicks and punches more then our boy. I think she may be a handful! The doctor told me that they looked perfect on the 20 week ultrasound. The boy is slightly bigger then the girl. My doctor's appointments are now once every three weeks until I am 28 weeks and then I will see her once every two weeks. I can't believe how fast this has gone! I am back to work which is making time fly even more! Thanks for all your continued prayers and positive thoughts for our twins. We appreciate all of your support!

All Registered!
John and I finished our registry today and it was so much fun! Who knew that two babies would need so much stuff? We registered at Target, Babies R Us, and Restoration Hardware Baby and Child. Picking out all their gear made this even more real. I can picture them in a few short months sleeping in the stroller, swaddled in the blanket, and exploring the toys. I can't wait to meet these two little ones! I am 22 weeks now. Here is what the babies are up to these days:
At 11 inches and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily. www.babycenter.com

Astros Gala
Every year John and I attend the Astros Wives' Gala benefiting the Houston Area Women's Center. John's company is a great supporter of this cause. Last night we sat with Astros third baseman Geoff Blum and his wife Kory. They were by far the most pleasant and friendly Astros couple we've sat with. Come to find out, they have triplets at home. It was a very fun night with great food, entertainment, and exciting auctions. Over $100,000 was raised in the live auction alone. Pretty impressive. We brought the newborn Astros hats with us and had them signed by Geoff Blum, Carlos Lee, and Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez. I am sure the twins will think this is cool in a few years.

Daddy Hard at Work
The two baby's rooms are officially in progress. John has been hard at work installing chair rail and wainscoting. The room with the chair rail will house both cribs while the green room with wainscoting will have the changing table and glider. Eventually the green room will turn into a play room for the twins. I am so excited to see the rooms coming together. We also found and registered for our baby bedding. Click on the link to see what John and I picked:
Thanks to my amazing husband who has spent his evenings working on these two rooms without much help. John, you're doing a great job!!

Atlanta Family Reunion
This past weekend we enjoyed a trip to Atlanta to see my brother and attend a family reunion. We were able to see most of my dad's side of the family who live in the Northeast. Friday night we had a great dinner at Paper Mill Grill. My brother is a chef there and the food was fantastic! Saturday the boys played golf while my mom and I hung around the hotel pool. Saturday night we had a party at my cousin Gina's house for my Aunt Mary's 75th birthday. It was great to see everyone! The down side of flying while 21 weeks pregnant? Very swollen ankles. I actually had cankles and never thought I would see my ankle bones again. Who knew you could have wrinkles on your feet that resembled fat rolls? It was pretty traumatizing. Thank goodness after a few hours of elevating my feet when I got home my old ankles came back. :) I am sure there are more swollen ankles in my near future.
