Renovation Done!

After living with my parents for 7 weeks and dealing with construction for 4 weeks our new home is ready for us to move in.  I am so excited to be in our new house and make great memories with our little family.  We are very pleased with the way it turned out and feel like the changes will fit our family and lifestyle.  We knocked out walls, replaced old appliances, and changed fixtures, finishes and floors.  We are so thankful for this amazing blessing!

Tomorrow is moving day!  Before I close my eyes tonight I will say a few prayers for a smooth day for my husband tomorrow who is handling the movers alone so I can watch the kiddos.  Thanks babe!  You always seem to hold this family up! XOXO.

Although my little man was SO sick today, he still had fun when Daddy came home from work playing in his shoes.  Such a cutie!

Fourteen Months!

Clara and George are 14 months old today.  They are so incredibly fun these days.  They learn new things all the time and seem to be enthralled by the world around them.  Here are some stats about our two toddling monkeys.

CLARA
Mode of Transportation: a slow purposeful walk
Words Mastered: Mama, Dada, Juice, Dog, No, Yes, Fish, This, That
Yummy in the Tummy: Clara loves to eat!  Her most recent favorite is Grammy Quinn's macaroni, ham, and cheese casserole.  She also loves feeding herself yogurt.  I put it on the spoon and she puts it in her mouth.  A step closer to eating like a civilized human being!
Number of Chompers: 5
Mommy's Favorite Thing:  She imitates me talking on the phone with hand motions and all.  It is hilarious.  She also has some great dance moves.
Toys, Toys, Toys: Clara loves to empty out the toy baskets and sit in them to look at a book.
Fun, Fun, Fun:  Clara loves to go up the stairs.  We have gates on the stairs which the little stinker figured out how to move so we have to watch her carefully or she will sneak her way upstairs.

Sweet Smiles!

Hello! Imitating Mommy on the phone

GEORGE
Mode of Transportation: Running at 60 miles an hour only to be stopped by a toy, speaker, or wall which usually results in a scratch, bump, or bruise.  This kid is all BOY!
Words Mastered: Mama, Dada, That, Fish
Yummy in the Tummy:  George recently had his first brunch experience and ate almost an entire egg and cheese omelet by himself.  He will devour anything sweet.  I guess he got my sweet tooth!  George can feed himself yogurt on a spoon too.  Mommy is proud!
Number of Chompers: 8 and we think we see his first molars coming in
Mommy's Favorite Thing: He is so cuddly!  George will play, play, play then walk over to me, climb in to my lap, and just cuddle for a few minutes.  When he is ready he will climb down to play again.  It is so sweet.  I love it!
Toys, Toys, Toys: George loves toys that he can pull behind him.  My parents and John's parents saved our old toys so he is playing with some old school ducks and turtles around the house.  Adorable!
Fun, Fun, Fun: George loves bath time.  John and I usually end up soaking wet because he loves to splash!

 Silly smiles!

Who me? I"m an angel!

My Little Texans Fans!

We watched the final Texans game of the season at Grandma and Grandpa Hadjioannou's house this past weekend and they won!  Maybe the twins (all dressed up in their gear) are good luck charms.  We will have to take this into consideration for next season.

Christmas 2010

We had such an amazing Christmas this year!  Last year the babies were only six weeks old and slept through all of the celebrations.  This year they were awestruck by everything that was going on.  On Christmas Eve we spent the evening with my family.  The twins went to their first children's Christmas Eve service at the church I attended growing up.  We came home, enjoyed a wonderful meal, and got ready for Santa Claus to visit!

The twins were definitely on the "nice list" this year.  We awoke on Christmas morning to a TON of presents for these two.  Santa, Grandma, and Grandpa spoiled them this year!  It was so fun to watch them explore all of their new toys and open gifts.

Bailey enjoyed opening her stocking this year too!

Uncle Jay arrived from Atlanta in the middle of Christmas morning and the family was complete!  We enjoyed brunch and more presents!

Spoiled! Spoiled! Spoiled!

While the twins took a nap the adults exchanged Christmas gifts and may have enjoyed a mimosa or two.

Before we headed to celebrate with the Hadjioannou's we got a few shots of the twins with some of their favorite people!

Then we were off to enjoy the afternoon and Christmas dinner with John's family.  We had a great time opening gifts, eating dinner, and spending time together.

We had an amazing Christmas this year.  The twins were incredibly fun.  We got to spend time with our family.  But best of all, John's sister Christina is expecting her first child in July.  Our family is growing and we are absolutely thrilled!!
