Cutest SMU Fans...Ever!

While in Dallas this past weekend we stocked up on SMU gear for the twins.  I loved these football and cheerleader t-shirts when I saw them in the store.  George and Clara look adorable in them.  Today I've been unsuccessfully trying to teach them to say, "Go SMU!" and to put up their Pony ears.  Nevertheless these two are the cutest SMU fans...ever!

Cuties!

Weekend Wedding Get Away

John and I escaped to Dallas this past weekend for a sorority sister's wedding.  It was so wonderful to see our college friends.  We were able to have a great lunch with John's college roommate Josh, his wife Amanda, and his two sweet boys Brady and Tucker.  We spent lots of time with my sorority sisters which means we laughed...a whole lot.  I love this group of women who have now been my friends for close to a decade.  We may not see each other every day but when we are together it doesn't seem like a moment has passed by.   A big thanks to Grandma and Grandpa H for taking over twin duty for the weekend.  We so appreciate your never ending support!

My handsome hubby - Love you John!

The last to leave. :)

The band was awesome!  The bass player traveled around the room playing so we got a quick pic.

We are 19 months!

George
Communication: George's expressive vocabulary really took off this month.  He added lots of words including wow, whoa, uh-oh, ice, thank you, welcome, please, hi, blue, eye, Asha (a character in a book), moon, and Jesus.
Tricks: George can point to all different parts of the body including his head, toes, hands, fingers, arm, leg, belly, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and booty.  We taught him how to do cheers at dinner.  When he clinks his glass he says, "Ding!"
Number of Chompers: 16
Favorite Things: George loves to swim.  We've spent lots of time in the pool and he is entirely too brave in the water.  With his floaty on, he will kick his feet for us.  He also blows bubbles in the water.  George will jump off the side of the pool and into one of our arms.  George is constantly smiling while splashing in the pool.

 Peeking around the toy box.

 Tea, anyone?

Let me think that one over.

Clara
Communication: Clara continues to add words to her expressive vocabulary.  She says uh-oh, cheers, cheese, eye, hi, blue, and down.  Clara is also now saying, "Mommy, this" which is one of the first two word combinations she uses frequently.
Tricks: Clara can also point to parts of her body including her head, toes, hands, fingers, arm, leg, belly, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and booty.  Clara loves to do, "Cheers!" at the dinner table.  Clara initiates it at almost every meal.  Pretty cute!
Number of chompers: 12
Favorite Things: Right now Clara loves to give Mommy kisses.  She will stop playing to walk over and give me a big smack on the lips.  She is such a loving sweet little girl!  Clara still loves to dance, dance, dance!  She shakes her booty and shimmies her shoulders to any music.  It is quite adorable!

 Kisses kisses kisses!

Sweet face!

Mommy's Favorite Moments:
-George was in bed ready to go to sleep.  Over the monitor I hear him practicing the newest addition to his growing vocabulary.  Ba - ba - ba - bluuuue.  So stinking cute!
-After a KAMOM play date and lunch out with Grandma and Grandpa Quinn, Clara was dozing off on the car ride home.  When I got her out of her car seat she was not too happy, so she laid down on the driveway to go back to sleep.  Silly girl!
-While running errands with Daddy, George was sitting in his car seat with his hands up behind his head.  John asked him, "George are you just chilling?"  George responded, "Yep."

Congratulations Christina and Sayed!

Congratulations to Christina and Sayed for closing on and moving into their new house in Houston!  We are so happy you are back.  The house is beautiful and we know you will make wonderful memories there with your growing family.  It was fun to celebrate with you!

Congratulations!

Cheers!

KAMOM Musical Play Date

Today we went to another great KAMOM play date.  The kiddos made tambourines.  We sang. We danced.  We played.  It was so much fun!  I am so happy I joined this wonderful group of women.  George and Clara always have a blast when we get together.  More fun summer play dates to come!

Wonderwild!

Today we went to Wonderwild, an amazing indoor play space in The Heights in Houston.  We met a few other families from KAMOM there and spent two hours climbing, jumping, sliding, playing, and laughing!  George and Clara had so much fun.  We will definitely go back sometime soon.  If you have kiddos and live in Houston, you have to check it out!

We climbed this three story play space together!

Daddy's Roses

John always works so hard in our yard to make it beautiful.  He worked for five years to get the yard at our old house where he wanted and then we moved.  Well he is off to a fantastic start at our new home.  He spends hours in the garden every weekend and I am so thankful for his hard work.  Because of it, I can enjoy beautiful flowers while spending my days outside playing with the kiddos.  John, glad you have a green thumb!

Enjoy a few pics of his beautiful roses!!
