KAMOM Christmas Lunch

We had a great lunch at Spring Creek Barbeque for our KAMOM Christmas lunch.  They have a great room for private parties.  At the location close to home, the staff is so helpful and friendly.  They often carry our trays for us since we are all wrangling multiples!  It is just a great family place.  We munched on some yummy bbq, made edible Christmas trees, and participated in an ornament exchange.  George and Clara had so much fun!  Merry Christmas KAMOM friends.  I can't adequately express just how much I love this group of families.

Edible Christmas Trees - an upside down sugar ice cream cone, coated in green frosting, and decorated with candy.  So simple and fun!

George ate most of the frosting.

George's tree - adding the gingerbread man

Clara's tree - loving the coconut snow!

George got an elf ornament

Clara got three ornaments! A snowman, a bell, and an M&M man.

Thanks for the fun KAMOM friends!!

George and Clara's Gingerbread House Workshop

We invited some of our KAMOM friends over for a Christmas play date.  We all decorated Gingerbread houses.  I made the houses ahead of time with graham crackers and using Martha Stewart's Royal Icing recipe.  It is really easy but I have to admit I needed John's help to set all the walls and the roof.

I moved our family room furniture out of the way and taped down some plastic Christmas table cloths to set up the workshop.

I set up a candy bar in our kitchen with plastic bowls for the Mommies to collect the candy for their kiddos.

Each kiddo got a cup full of frosting and a popsicle stick to spread the icing on their house.

George and Clara were very excited to see all of their friends and to decorate the houses.

There were 15 kiddos making gingerbread houses and we all had so much fun!  There was icing and candy everywhere!!

After we finished decorating our Gingerbread houses, we all enjoyed some sweet treats.

We had such a wonderful time with all of our friends.  Merry Christmas!!!

Claus for the Cause

We spent a wonderful Saturday afternoon at the National Charity League's Claus for the Cause.  This great event benefits 14 different area non-profit organizations.  When you arrive you are assigned an "elf" who takes you through all the different stations.  Our first stop was to visit Santa.  George and Clara were not interested in sitting with this Santa.  We took a family picture instead.  Our next station was a yummy snack and then we headed to the craft room.  We made reindeer food, Christmas bags, a picture frame, and got a Christmas tattoo.  The twins had so much fun!  We will definitely go back next year.

KAMOM Santa Brunch

We enjoyed a wonderful brunch with all of our friends from KAMOM.  Santa was the main attraction!  George loved him.  He followed him around.  Got on his lap.  Let Santa hold him.  He was enamored.  Clara on the other hand was not.  She would give Santa five and shake his hand, but would not sit on his lap or let him hold her.  When we tried she screamed.  We are halfway to a great Christmas picture with Santa Claus.  Go Georgie! The magic of the holidays comes back when you get to see it all over again through the eyes of your children.  What a blessing!  We are definitely enjoying this holiday season!

Ready to go see Santa!

Trim the tree!

John and I put up the Christmas tree after the kids were in bed but left the non-breakable ornaments for the kiddos to put on the next morning.  We spent the morning decorating our tree while listening to Christmas music.  George and Clara were in awe of the tree and had so much fun adding each ornament.  Such a wonderful morning!

A very excited Georgie.

A surprised Clara.

It's the most wonderful time of the year....

It's December 1st which means it is officially Christmas season in the Hadjioannou household!  The twins went to MDO this morning looking pretty festive thanks to some of our favorite friends Ashley and Michael Lyle.  Tis the season!
