We enjoyed another day at our church's Fall Festival and pumpkin patch with our good friend's The Carters. Face painting, pony rides, bounce houses, and carnival games made our kiddos day!

Happy 7 Months to Jack!
This is about as good as the photos get because...
...we have a crawler!
Jack started crawling a week before he hit the seven month mark. He was scooting a bit and definitely rolling around on the ground but hadn't mastered crawling. One night he was in the middle of the game room playing with his toys while we all played around him. Jack got up on all fours started rocking and then moved forward a few feet. We all started clapping so he sat back on his bottom and clapped for himself. Another first! It was pretty darn cute.
He doesn't stop moving for very long so most pictures are in some way blurry (don't mind half naked Clara running through the background).
He still adores his siblings and wants to play near them all the time. I can tell he misses them when they are at school and is usually very excited when we pick them up.
Jack loves his toys. He often dumps out his toy boxes so he can switch from one to the next pretty easily. He is also getting really good at taking big brother and big sister's toys which is usually frowned upon by them.
We still hear lots of laughter from this little guy. He continues to be so happy. Jack also started babbling quite a bit and I am proud to say one of his first consonant vowel strings was "mamamama." Yeah!
We've had some more firsts this month. Jack can now sit in high chairs at restaurants. This was his first time and Jack was so good. He just looked around at all there was to see. I could barely get him to focus long enough to eat his lunch! Big boy!
We've had a few unsuccessful firsts this month. One was shoes. As you can see in the picture he was not into it. At all. I guess we will just go with socks for now and try again in a few weeks.
We also unsuccessfully tried sippy cups. Jack thought these were the best chew toys ever. Goofball.
Jack is sleeping through the night most nights and continues to eat like a champ. We are almost done with nursing so he has mostly formula now.
The past seven months have been a complete joy with this little guy. What a gift he is to our family. Can't wait to watch him grow and learn as the months go by. Love you sweet Jack!

Happy Nine Years To Us!
Two houses. A sweet dog. Three gorgeous children. Nine years later. John you are still and always will be my happily every after. Happy 9 years my love!
Dinner with Family
We enjoyed a great dinner at my cousin Tarala's house recently. We live in the same city but don't see each other nearly enough. Clara and George loved playing with her daughter Sydney. Her little guy Wyatt is only 6 weeks older than Jack. Great food. Great fun. Great family.
Our Budding Artist
Clara loves creating art. Everyday she asks to color or paint or draw. Recently she has been drawing lots of family portraits. I love seeing her little talents emerge.
She isn't completely naked. I promise.
Go Texans!
We have some big time Texans fans at our house. George is even learning some of the players names. We were able to take the twins to a game this year too. They loved it. I love that we are cheering on our hometown team as a family every Sunday, even if John's yelling sometimes scares the baby. :) Go Texans!

Soccer Entertainment
George had his first soccer game a few weeks ago and it was so fun to watch. First of all a bunch of three year olds trying to play a team sport is plain comical. We had some kiddos chasing butterflys. Others having full on temper tantrums. Some very soccer focused. Others just wanted Mommy. I think I laughed the entire 30 minutes. I surprised myself by how much I got into the game cheering on George and his cute little team mates. George scored four goals. Two for his team and two for the other team but that's just a technicality. :) I look forward to the rest of our season and my Saturday morning soccer entertainment.
Before game pep talk. Go Killer Bees!
Waiting to play. Put me in coach!
Get it George!
Go George!
After each game the parents make this tunnel so the kiddos can run through. George looks forward to this part the most. :)
He by far had the biggest cheering squad. Go Georgie!
