Since my Mom's birthday is the day after Jack's, we celebrated her too. We certainly love this lady!

Jack's Birthday Celebration with Family

It's hard to believe that it has been a year since we welcomed our sweet little Jack into the world. We had a great celebration with our whole family.

We grilled. We toasted. We laughed. The kiddos played. It was pretty perfect. And when Jack got his cake he did what every one year old does. He dug right in.

And then we opened presents. Jack enjoyed the gifts and the wrapping paper. He was spoiled by our awesome family.

Happy First Birthday Jack!!

Our sweet boy turned one today. Actually about ten minutes ago. God blessed us with a joyful loving sweet little boy. For that we are forever grateful. Jack, you've made our lives even more wonderful. More full of love. More exciting. More beautiful. More amazing. We are looking forward to your birthday celebrations with family and friends. We love you sweet boy!

11 Months!

It is insane that Jack is 11 months and I am preparing for a first birthday party. Happy 11 Months Little Man!

A walking Jack is an extremely curious Jack. He gets into everything as every toddling baby should. Jack also tries his best to do everything his brother and sister do. He also enjoys climbing. Jack climbs and stand on just about everything which means I can't turn my back on this kid for a second.

Jack still says Momma, Dada, and up. He started saying Ba! when we say goodbye to anyone. Jack is very friendly and waves at anyone who will wave back. This is very popular while we are grocery shopping. He puts smiles on lots of people's faces.

He loves to play with balls and read books. We spend lots of time outside. Jack started walking and almost immediately started kicking at balls outside. It is amazing what he can do when he has only been walking for a short time. Jack also enjoys sword fighting with his big brother.

We finally have one tooth! It is his bottom tooth in the middle. He was pretty fussy for the day or two leading up to breaking through but handled it pretty well. Jack continues to do well eating solid foods and drinking from his sippy cup. We are about to give up formula and bottles. We are also going to reduce the amount of time a day he is allowed to have his paci. I hope these transitions aren't too difficult for him...or me!

Happy happy 11 months Jack! I can't believe you are almost one year old! You are such a sweetheart. We love you!!

Steps and Tooth

One day before Jack's 11 month birthday he finally sprouted a tooth! He also decided to take off walking. He was very proud of himself! Go Jack Go!

Frozen!

We've had unusually cold weather this winter. We've had a few days of snow and ice which have caused school and road closures. George and Clara thought their first experience with snow and ice was awesome (even though it really wasn't much at all). Jack was not a fan. Too cold for our little guy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I love Valentine's Day. I know it is a holiday that was made up by corporations to make money, but I still love it. There is absolutely nothing bad about sharing a day with all of the people you love. There is everything right about making sure all of those people know how much you care about them. It was a great day spent with our family. Happy Valentine's Day!!
