Christina's Wedding and Cape Cod Visit

Bear with me! This blog is going to be a long one, but a lot happened in the 8 days we were gone! We landed in Buffalo, NY and drove across the US/Canadian border to Niagara Falls. We rode the Maid of the Mist which is a boat that brings you right next to the huge waterfall. The power and wind from the water is unbelievable. We got a little wet too! Then we headed into Niagara on the Lake where had dinner and stayed the night. The next day we headed to the wineries in the area to do a few tastings (well everyone except me of course!).

We headed into Toronto after the wineries where the Hadjioannou family and Christina's fiance Sayed and his family met at a Greek Restaurant for dinner. My parents also joined us. On Friday the Hadjioannou family and my parents took a boat tour on Lake Ontario to view the Toronto skyline. It was really relaxing and the views were great. We also had lunch at a restaurant on the water.

That night we went to an Indian restaurant called The Host for dinner with all of the out of town wedding guests. Christina and Sayed looked great!

The wedding day was perfect. Not one single hitch. Both the cermony and reception were at Toronto Hunt which overlooks lake Ontario. Christina was stunning and everyone was very happy for her and Sayed. We enjoyed the time with family, great food, dancing, and spectacular views throughout the night. There are many many moments I will never forget.

The day after Christina and Sayed's wedding we hopped in the car and drove to Cooperstown, NY to the Baseball Hall of Fame. My dad and John were really excited about this little side trip on our way to Cape Cod. The drive through NY state was really beautiful. In Cooperstown, we stayed in a really nice Inn and enjoyed the quaint town and of course the Baseball Hall of Fame.

We ended the trip by driving the rest of the way to South Yarmouth on Cape Cod to visit my mom's side of the family. My Aunt Sue was a great hostess!! This is also the side of the family with twins. The weather was amazing. The highs were in the 70's which was a welcome change from Houston weather. We had a great time at the beach, shopping, eating lobster, and relaxing with family. We didn't get to visit with all of our family so I was sorry it was over so soon.
