Our Little Guy

Life with George is always an adventure.  He is very typically boy...rough and tumble, loud and silly, but also so sweet.  He has been saying some pretty great things lately so I had to write them down.

While playing with George in our game room he stopped and asked me if I wanted to play "Texans."  I wasn't sure what than meant but I went along with him.  He proceeded to chase me around the game room and tried his best to tackle me.  What a goofball!  "Playing Texans" is now Daddy's job.

While watching the Texans game this Sunday George said to me, "I need to go.  I'm going to play football on the field."  He continued, "I won't be home anymore.  I'll be in the field."  I told him I'd miss him and I wanted him to stay home with me.  He said, "Well you have to come see me in the field Mommy."  He paused and then said, "Or on the TV" and pointed to the Texans game.  Alright.  Seems we have an aspiring pro-football player.

George is in the "why" stage.  Everything we say is met with the question why.  And I mean everything.  Sometimes why is not the easiest question to answer.  Sometimes I am just tired of answering the questions.  When I asked George to stop asking my why for a few minutes he said, "Oh ok Mommy.  You not know the answer?  Ok."  Little monkey.

We were heading to a friend's house for dinner the other night.  I was baking while the kids were playing.  The next thing I know our house alarm is going off.  George pulled a chair over to our alarm panel and pushed our panic button.  This immediately notifies the police and within minutes their were two police cars in front of our house.  I answered the door and apologized to the police officer.  I asked George to apologize to him too.  Through tears George said, "Sorry.  I stay with my Mommy.  Please don't take me with you."  He thought the police officer was going to take him away for pushing our panic button.  Poor buddy, but it was pretty funny!

After getting my hair cut, he looked at me with big eyes and said, "Mommy you look bootiful!"  Sweet little guy.
