Daddy's Family Day

Daddy planned a surprise family day last weekend and we had so much fun!  We went to the airport to watch the planes land.  George was fascinated then unsure.  Clara was interested but timid.  After the airport adventure we went to Kings Harbor to eat lunch by Lake Houston.  It was such a great day spent with just our little family.

George says, "Da plane! Da plane!"

Spring is in the air!

Spring is right around the corner and we've had some lovely warm weather recently.  We discovered a park not too far from our new house that we can get to on the greenbelt.  We spent some time there this weekend with Daddy.  The twins love it!

We don't walk...we run!

Go George Go!

I love the swings!!

It was a gigglefest!

By far her favorite thing in the park.

And of course George loves anything he can drag behind him...silly guy!

The Twins' 2nd and Our 12th Valentines Day Together!

We had a great Valentines Day this year.  I received beautiful flowers from my favorite Valentine and I cooked him a yummy dinner of beef wellington (which we ate by candlelight sans kiddos).  The twins both received Valentines Day goodies from Mommy and Daddy.  Our lives are so much fuller with their love, hugs, and kisses.  They will forever be our little Valentines!

Happy Valentines Day!

One and one quarter years old!

George and Clara are 15 months old today.  They are loving their new house and all the space to play.  I truly think we are in the best age so far.  They crack me up all the time and are trying really hard to figure out the world.  One thing I know is that they are busy, busy, busy!  Here are some fun stats from this month:

CLARA

On the Go, Go, Go:  She is our tiny dancer!  She moves to any kind of music every time it is playing.  She likes to lift her legs in the air (kind of like a ballerina but with less grace) and she also likes to sway back and forth.  She even dances in her car seat.  I can't wait until she is old enough for dance class.
Chatty, chatty, chatty:  Clara will try to repeat words back to you.  Spontaneous words are few and far between still but she did add the word trash to her vocabulary.  She and George seem to have some sort of way of communicating with each other.  They seem to be very in sync sometimes which just solidifies the fact that they conspire against me!
Mommy's Little Helper:   She likes to help me do things around the house.  She helps me put the laundry in the machines, put trash in the the trash can, and brings things to Daddy or George if I ask her to.  Clara is also very interested in cooking.  Sometimes she is allowed to help Mommy "stir the pot."
Playtime:  Clara likes to push her new stroller around with her dolly in it.  It is adorable!  Clara and George are starting to play together instead of next to each other.  They play peek-a-boo, hide from each other, and chase each other.  Usually these games include lots of belly laughing which keeps me smiling!

GEORGE

On the Go, Go, Go:  We now have a climber!  George tries to climb and step on everything.  He can get up on the chair and couch now.  He is very proud of himself when he successfully scales a piece of furniture.  Now I just wait until he starts climbing out of his crib too.  Yikes!
Chatty, chatty, chatty: He is still such a babbler!   He doesn't have many words yet but is constantly making noise.  He seems to have great receptive vocabulary skills.  He follows one step commands and will point out pictures in books when asked.  He impresses me everyday!
Man's Man:  George is all about hanging out with the guys.  If Daddy, Grandpa George, or Grandpa John are around then all the ladies are chopped liver.  He doesn't want to have anything to do with us.  It cracks me up.  His absolute adoration of his Grandfathers continues!
Playtime:  George is the busiest of the two of them.  He seems to be in constant motion unless a book grabs his attention.  He currently loves The Wheels on the Bus.  I must read it to him 10 times a day.  When he does get enthralled by a book he will sit and thumb through it for 10 to 15 minutes which is an eternity for this little man.  I hope his love of books continues as he gets older!

Renovation Done!

After living with my parents for 7 weeks and dealing with construction for 4 weeks our new home is ready for us to move in.  I am so excited to be in our new house and make great memories with our little family.  We are very pleased with the way it turned out and feel like the changes will fit our family and lifestyle.  We knocked out walls, replaced old appliances, and changed fixtures, finishes and floors.  We are so thankful for this amazing blessing!

Tomorrow is moving day!  Before I close my eyes tonight I will say a few prayers for a smooth day for my husband tomorrow who is handling the movers alone so I can watch the kiddos.  Thanks babe!  You always seem to hold this family up! XOXO.

Playing in Daddy's Shoes

Although my little man was SO sick today, he still had fun when Daddy came home from work playing in his shoes.  Such a cutie!

Italian Food Mayhem!

I loved Grammy Quinn's meatball and ravioli dinner!  What a disaster!

I loved it too!  Time for our bath!
