Telling the Grandparents

We shared our fantastic news with our parents on Easter, Sunday April 12. I made a digital scrapbook with photos of both of our families and the last page in the book said, "Congratulations Grandma and Grandpa. We're pregnant!" We went to my parent's house first. To tell the truth, I was a little nervous. I told my parents I made a scrap book with some of our old family photos. I asked them to look at the book together but my Mom said my Dad could see it first. I thought, "OK. This will be interesting." So my Dad looked through the book and totally skipped the last page! I didn't know what to do, so I just handed the book to my Mom. She looked at the WHOLE thing. When she saw the last page, her breath caught and she just stared at me. She jumped up and gave me a hug. My Mom handed the book back to my Dad and said, "Look at the last page." My Dad quickly flipped to it and smiled SO big. They were both so excited.

Then we headed to John's parent's house. John's parents sat down to look at the book together and when John's mom Bianca got to the last page she looked up at me and said, "Really!?!?" I shook my head yes and she jumped up to give me a hug. She even did a little happy dance. John's dad George was also excited saying it was "fantastic news." We called John's sister Christina in Toronto who was shocked and excited too.

John's parents were ecstatic.

My parents then joined us for Easter dinner at the Hadjioannou's house. Everyone was ecstatic! This is the first grandchild on both sides of the family. What an amazing night!
