Red Week

We started the week wearing red.  George didn't have anything red but the stripe on his shirt counts!

After nap on Monday we watched The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear on YouTube.  I was going to buy a bunch of color themed books but quickly realized you can find them being read aloud on YouTube.  Great savings!

Then we made a red ripe strawberry of our own.

On Tuesday we had our red bath and played with our red body paint soap.

On Wednesday, we played a game where the twins had to find a red rectangle when the music stopped.  If they landed on the red rectangle then they got a red MandM.  They did really well and loved this game.

On Thursday, we read The Little Red Hen and then watched an old cartoon of the story on YouTube.  Then we made a little red hen.  I found this cute activity page online.  They enjoyed making their own little hens.

We finished our red activities on Saturday morning.  George and Clara really enjoyed this painting activity.  All you need is a shoebox, red paint, tape, white paper, and a ball (or marbles).  You tape the paper into the box, drop in some paint, drop in the ball, tape the box shut, and shake shake shake!  They loved opening the box to see what the ball had done to the paint.

We will skip next week so we can spend some quality family fun time with Daddy.  But the following week, get ready for yellow!
