Football with a Helmet

George loves football.  Even more then football, he loves the helmets.  I have no idea why but whenever he says he wants to play football the phrase "with a helmet" comes after it.  We were in Target and I saw bike helmets for toddlers.  I figured it would appease this helmet loving boy.  And I was right!  He picked out his helmet.  It has characters from the movie Cars on it.  He wore it all around the store, only to part with it for a second for the clerk to scan it.  Then the fun began.  He wore it all afternoon.  When John came home, instead of yelling Daddy he ran up to him showing his helmet and screaming, "Helmet!"  George wore it at breakfast the next morning, while we played outside, and while he ate snack.  I'm pretty sure he would have worn it to bed if I let him.  I found myself smiling often looking at this little guy proudly wearing his helmet.  I wonder what he will think about this when he gets older.  I know I will look back fondly on the "helmet days."  Love you buddy!
